It's been a long time since we've been to the MM in Boone, in fact, since it was at its previous location even! The modernized MM is lovely with great decor and still the good food we remember. Definitely get the unique pies to this location, including the Maui Wowie! We also enjoyed the Mighty Meaty. The Chopped salad was a hit for those looking for less calories or sodium content. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Great service! Our server was great tonight, attentive, ensuring we were satisfied with our food and our drinks were topped off. The appetizers and pizza were great. We got the Bruschetta and Spinach and Artichoke Dip for appetizers. They had so much flavor. The pizzas were nicely cooked.
I dine at mellow mushrooms all the time. I actually make it a point to visit any mellow mushroom I pass on my journeys. There is one that always stands out to me; Boone, NC. The service is always an 11/10. I never have to ask for a refill and have become friends with some of the staff. If I have a music request, they fulfill it. If I want to watch Judge Judy on TV, they turn it on. Brianna, the bartender makes my Arnold Palmer with exactly the correct proportions. I even saw them giving toilet paper to a neighbor in need (Boone Saloon) after they had, needless to say, a busy night in the restroom. We’ve all been there! But not after mellow mushroom. With their glowing safety rating, I never worry about this. I have personally been in when the food inspector was there and he wasn’t surprised one bit with the immaculate condition of the kitchen as the staff and management are always on top of food safety. Speaking of safety, you may have noticed they removed the swing from the bar in their 2025 remodel, good move. Though if there’s a way I could purchase this from them, it would make a great addition for my mellow mushroom collectibles room. Mellow mushroom. I love you.
I’ve been to mellow mushroom before but this was my first time at this location with my kids and girlfriend. We got lucky and had Dunkin as our server. He’s a good server and has a good personality. Next time we’re in this area we’ll definitely be back :)
I was from out of town visiting for the Weekend. I do have a Mellow Mushroom in my Town where I live. While in Boone for the weekend to Run a Race, I decided to come here to celebrate my big day. My Waiter volunteered early that day at my Race. He was super friendly and I totally commend this store for hiring him! I forgot his name I'll have to check my receipt. He has a bright future ahead of him since he knows how to work with people and treat everyone with respect! It all starts with this Restaurant!

Kat is such an amazing bartender and she always remembers my drink. She excels at her job. I try to go every pint night and its one of my favorite nights to go out each week! The pizza slice/pint deals are unbeatable. It is defiantly the best bang for your buck! 10/10 reccomend.
Great pizzas and calzones for us at this MM. Fanciful and elaborate interior decor adds to the dining experience which also featured friendly, pleasant service by a team of young ladies. A full bar is offered serving specialty drinks, an assortment of beers and Coke products. Less crowded and less waiting vs their Blowing Rock location on a Saturday evening. Parking is on the street or in a couple small lots, so you likely will be walking some but lots of interesting shopping is along the way, including the iconic Mast General Store. Say “Hi!” to the firemen as you pass by!
It’s always loud in a “mellow” mushroom even when there’s hardly anyone there. The food is always great I love the shiitake pie! Tried the cinnamon bites with honey, just the right amount of sweet. My server was attentive and all the staff were friendly.
Fun atmosphere and consistent food. Our server was friendly and accommodating. We have yet to have a bad experience at a Mellow Mushroom. The Boone version lived up to our expectations.
